"Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” -Ephesians 5:28-31.

“This word of GOD is the bond in between all married couples who went through the sacrament of marriage. As per Holy Bible, there is no other relationship is more beautifully explain than this “TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH". How beautifully our Good GOD created a family in the beginning and well explained in the book of Genesis.” The expression “TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH” has a deeper meaning, that signifies that in order to become “one flesh” or before becoming “one flesh”, the couple should be one in their hearts and souls, because they are not just animals who become one flesh. “Flesh” means in Hebrew also sometimes “person”. Furthermore: “one flesh” signifies also the child as the fruit of their union; the two separate “fleshes” produce in some sense a new, “one flesh”, the child. Therefore, the child is the first aim of the marriage, because God wants through marriage to create new human beings and citizens of heaven.

Let’s see: “So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh. –Genesis 2:21-24

Bond in between all married couples – The Word of GOD; It’s Jesus Christ as HE IS LOVE. JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF LOVE in between the couples. So the life of couples must be centered in Jesus to attain a selfless love in their relation.

Then How the hatred and quarrel occurred in between couples?

“Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation” - Matthew 26:41. Temptation is from SATAN and we can see the same in the EDEN (Genesis 3). SATAN IS THE SOURCE OF HATRED. Prayer is defined as the communication between GOD and HUMAN and continuous prayers make the relationship stronger in between the God & the Human.

A. If the couples pray together (two shall become one) without cease, they can overcome the temptation & Satan’s attack. (Thus the couple can work together for Jesus)

B. If any one of the couple is lacking a prayer life, then the enemy Satan start interfere in their lives (Thus the couple shall undergo sufferings as one belongs to Jesus and other belongs to Satan by their deeds - Matthew 10:34-39, Micah 7:4-7 & 1 Corinthians 2:9-15).

C. If both of the couples are lacking a prayer life and centered fully in worldly pleasures, then they both belong to Satan and physically we can’t find any breakups (As Satan is very clever to attain their souls for sharing his eternal punishment; the couples are trapped in his poison and become a worldly people by enjoying worldly pleasures & setting these pleasures as goal of life).

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made” –Genesis 3:1 ;
“But through the devil’s envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his party experience it.” – Wisdom 2:24

Here we analyze the external attacks against the couples:-

Nowadays, we can see lot of attacks from Medias, friends, relatives, parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, Extramarital affairs etc. against the sacramental married life and later lead to the breakups/divorce . Couples are being influenced by society as human is a social animal. As a Christian couple, we have to be more cautious to deal with all. “Against wisdom evil does not prevail” –Wisdom 7:30; so couples shall seek the wisdom of God to deal with others even inside their families (1 Kings 3:6-14).

A person or external party can be a medium of GOD & Satan. We can see an example in the Gospel of Mathew. And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.” – Mathew 16:17. Apostle peter was led by the holy spirit of God and acknowledges that “JESUS IS THE SON OF LIVING GOD” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

The same apostle was led by Satan and makes stumble in the way of Jesus. “From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. And Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid, Lord! This shall never happen to you.” But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me; for you are not on the side of God, but of men.” – Mathew 16:21-23.

SATAN is always opposing the Will and Plan of God to be done in human life. "Desire on God’s Word will lead us to attain the wisdom" - Wisdom 6:11..This wisdom enable us to overcome all evil. If we are obeying the word of God, we will succeed in life & attain eternal life with him. If we are not obeying the God’s word, we will ruin and walking towards the eternal death (As God is Life or the source of life (John 14:6 & John 11:25), moving against God means approaching to death)

“Obey God’s word – means Obey Jesus Christ.”

What Jesus said about marriage?

Jesus said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together let no man separate.” –Mathew 19:5, 6.

“What therefore God has joined together let no man separate.” The one who oppose this God’s word is conflicts the God itself. The one who opposes may be couple themselves, their relatives including in-laws, friends, society or others. They all are breaking the divine will of almighty God and it can say a mortal sin.

Let us see: What is the result if any who cause the breakups/ divorce?

“Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the man by whom the temptation comes! - Matthew 18:7

The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. -Matthew 13:41, 42
